Understand Bandwidth, Storage and Usage

When you use multiple cloud storage services, it helps to know how much storage space you’re using and how much transfer bandwidth is available. Whether you’re storing personal documents, client projects, business files, photos, videos, or backups, these usage indicators help you understand your account activity at a glance.
In All Cloud Hub, you’ll find Bandwidth Usage and Storage Usage in the bottom-left corner of the dashboard. These provide a quick overview of your current resource usage without needing to open additional settings.

What Is Bandwidth Usage?
Bandwidth Usage shows how much of your available data transfer quota has been consumed.
Every time you transfer files between connected cloud storage accounts using All Cloud Hub, the transferred data counts toward your bandwidth usage.
For example:
- Copying 2 GB of files from Google Drive to Dropbox uses approximately 2 GB of bandwidth.
- Moving a 1 GB project from OneDrive to Backblaze B2 uses approximately 1 GB of bandwidth.
- Transferring multiple folders throughout the month gradually increases your bandwidth usage.
If your dashboard displays:
0 Bytes used of 5 GB
it means:
- You have not used any transfer bandwidth yet.
- You currently have the full 5 GB transfer allowance available.
As you continue transferring files, this value updates automatically so you always know how much bandwidth remains.
Free User Plan = 5 GB/month
Power User Plan = 100 GB/month
(the bandwidth shown in the navigation panel depends on the plan you use)
What Uses Bandwidth?
Bandwidth is consumed when you perform transfer-related operations through All Cloud Hub, such as:
- Copying files between cloud accounts
- Moving files from one cloud storage provider to another
- Running scheduled transfer tasks
- Migrating large folders between connected services
Simply browsing folders, previewing files, or searching across connected accounts does not typically consume transfer bandwidth.

Why Is Bandwidth Important?
Keeping an eye on bandwidth usage helps you:
- Estimate how much data you can still transfer.

What Is Storage Usage?
Storage Usage shows the total amount of storage currently occupied across your connected cloud accounts that All Cloud Hub tracks for display.
For example, if the dashboard shows:
110.08 MB used
it indicates that approximately 110.08 MB of data is currently stored within your connected cloud storage accounts.
This provides a quick snapshot of your overall storage usage without needing to check each cloud provider individually.
Why Monitor Storage Usage?
Monitoring storage usage helps you:
- Know how much data you’re storing.
- Identify when you may need additional cloud storage.
- Keep large media collections organized.
- Manage business documents more efficiently.
- Plan future backups before storage becomes limited.
This is especially useful if you regularly work with large files such as videos, RAW photographs, design assets, engineering files, or project archives.
Understanding the Difference Between Bandwidth and Storage
Although they are displayed together, bandwidth and storage measure two different things.

| Storage Usage | The amount of data currently stored across your connected cloud accounts. |
A simple way to think about it is:
- Storage refers to the files you have.
- Bandwidth refers to the files you move.
You may have very little storage but perform many transfers, resulting in higher bandwidth usage. Likewise, you could store hundreds of gigabytes of files while using very little bandwidth if you rarely transfer them.
How to Keep Track of Your Usage
The usage cards update automatically as you work with your connected cloud accounts. It’s a good practice to check them periodically, especially before transferring large folders or running scheduled tasks.
Monitoring these values helps you better understand your cloud activity and ensures you always know how much storage you’re using and how much transfer bandwidth remains.
